FEDERATION ENTERTAINMENT and EMPREINTE DIGITALE join forces to create BIGGER BOAT, a label dedicated to genre series

FEDERATION ENTERTAINMENT (Pascal Breton and Lionel Uzan) and EMPREINTE DIGITALE (Raphaël Rocher and Henri Debeurme) announce the launch of their common label, BIGGER BOAT, dedicated to the production of genre series.

This project was born from a shared taste for cinema and genre series and a strong desire to work together. It is also a result of a joint analysis of the market. BIGGER BOAT intends to cater to the needs of new platforms as well as traditional media and satisfy the ever-growing public’s appetite given the phenomenal success of series such as STRANGER THINGS, THE WALKING DEAD or THE HANDMAID’S TALE…

BIGGER BOAT will produce a variety of French and European series taking on genres such as horror, fantasy, action, Sci-fi…

BIGGER BOAT’s first project is MARIANNE, an 8 X 52’ supernatural series created by Samuel Bodin (T.A.N.K, LAZY COMPANY), co-written with Quoc Dang Tran (co-screenwriter of many high-end French series such as KABOUL KITCHEN, CALL MY AGENT, FAIS PAS CI FAIS PAS CA…).

There are other projects in the final stages of development which will soon be announced.


Over the last 14 years, the ever-innovative team at EMPREINTE DIGITALE have broken ground into various sectors, such as cinema, TV and digital series, documentaries, brand content…

In terms of TV fiction, EMPREINTE DIGITALE has notably produced for OCS the series MISSIONS (season 2 co-produced with AMC Networks), GROWN UPS (LES GRANDS) and LAZY COMPANY as well as the digital series THE WAY and T.A.N.K for Studio+. Most of these ambitious and prolific programs have received multiple awards at both French and International festivals.

Four years after its launch by Pascal Breton, FEDERATION ENTERTAINMENT has forged partnerships with the best worldwide talents on the scene today. They have already compiled an exceptional production portfolio of French and International premium series, which include THE BUREAU, MARSEILLE, BAD BANKS and HOSTAGES.

FEDERATION ENTERTAINMENT will internationally distribute the series created by BIGGER BOAT.


Federation Entertainment

Empreinte Digitale

Founded in 2003, by Raphaël Rocher and Benjamin Rocher, EMPREINTE DIGITALE is an independent production company specialising in film, series, unscripted series, magazines, documentaries and brand content.

EMPREINTE DIGITALE has established itself in the world of French series with unique, ambitious and varied productions. Raphaël Rocher and Henri Debeurme produced three 26-minute series for OCS: Samuel Bodin’s Lazy Company (3 seasons, award-winning at La Rochelle and Luchon Festivals), Vianney Lebasque’s Grown Ups (won best 26-minute series in 2016 and best director in 2017 at La Rochelle Festival) and Julien Lacombe’s Missions (TV Critics Award at the MipDrama Screenings and Discovery Award at Series Mania in 2017). Missions has made quite the global impression being broadcast worldwide in the USA (Shudder), Great Britain (BBC 4), Germany (RTL Passion) and even Denmark (DR). Empreinte Digitale has also produced two digital series for Studio+: T.A.N.K. created by Samuel Bodin (won best digital series and best director at La Rochelle Festival in 2016) and The Way created by Camille Delamarre.

They have produced many successful films such as The Squad directed by Benjamin Rocher, Goal of the Dead by Benjamin Rocher and Thierry Poiraud, and more recently Above The Law by Jean-François Hensgens and François Troukens. Empreinte Digitale is currently working on the post production of an action film by Fred Grivois titled 15 Minutes of War, and the comedy Enchantées directed by Saphia Azzeddine and François-Régis Jeanne.
