FEDERATION ENTERTAINMENT to distribute MYTHO, a series produced by UNITÉ DE PRODUCTION (Bruno Nahon) for ARTE, starring Marina Hands and directed by Fabrice Gobert (The Returned).

Paris, April 5th 2018

FEDERATION ENTERTAINMENT has acquired international rights to MYTHO, a series produced by UNITÉ DE PRODUCTION (Bruno Nahon) in coproduction with ARTE France and FEDERATION ENTERTAINMENT (Pascal Breton, Lionel Uzan) for ARTE.

MYTHO, 6 X 1 HOUR, has brought together some of France’s best creative talents.

Iconic French actress Marina Hands (Tell no one, Jappeloup) will play Elvira, MYTHO’s leading part. Marina was granted the prestigious “Best Actress” CESAR award for her performance in Pascale Ferran’s Lady Chatterley.

Fabrice Gobert’s directing work on MYTHO will be his much-anticipated TV comeback. He is the renowned creator of The Returned, a highly successful Canal Plus original creation.

The scenario was written by novelist and screenwriter Anne Berest whose literary work include La fille de son Père and Les Patriarches. Anne worked recently on Canal Plus dramedy series Paris etc. Colombe Raby, Xavier Dolan’s long-time collaborator, will be in charge of MYTHO’s production design.

The series was developed by Bruno Nahon whose producing credits include Louise Wimmer, Sparring, Razzia and Ainsi soient-ils (Churchmen), a highly acclaimed ARTE series.

Bruno Nahon comments: “MYTHO is a drama with bits of comedy that focuses on Elvira, a woman, a mother and a wife, who will stop at nothing to save her family. Above all, it is a collaboration between outstanding talents who work hand in hand to give life to relatable and yet exceptional characters. Enjoy!”

MYTHO centers on a loving and caring wife, who finds herself on the edge of burnout.

Handling both her workload and her large family is slowly driving Elvira out of her mind. One day, she starts suspecting her husband of having an affair. On the spur of the moment, she pretends that she is sick. It is a small white lie which will have huge consequences… The rest of the cast will be announced shortly. Shooting will start mid-May, 2018 in Paris region.

FEDERATION ENTERTAINMENT holds world rights to the series.
