FEDERATION ENTERTAINMENT and DRAMA-TEAM to coproduce THE GRAVE, the new series written and directed by Omri Givon, Winner of the best series prize at CANNESERIES

Paris, April 16th 2018

FEDERATION ENTERTAINMENT (Pascal Breton, Lionel Uzan) and DRAMA-TEAM (Chaim Sharir, Mosh Danon) are coproducing THE GRAVE, a series written and directed by Omri Givon, who won last week the Best Series award (When Heroes Fly) at CANNESERIES Festival.

Omri Givon is the renowned creator of HOSTAGES (winner of the Golden Nymph, Monte Carlo 2016), another hit series co-produced by Chaim Sharir and FEDERATION and distributed worldwide by the latter.

THE GRAVE, an 8 X 1 hour mystery drama, will start shooting next November in Israel.

Following an earthquake, three human skeletons are discovered at the bottom of a huge pit inside a nature reserve. Test results indicate that these skeletons are those of individuals who are still alive…

THE GRAVE tells the story of a man who has lost the love of his life and the mother of his child. He is a father who desperately wishes his son to know his mother and coupled with his own inability to accept the death of his wife, he slowly turns into a man who would do anything to cheat death.

The first season of this mystery drama will unfold in the present time. It focuses on the characters: the hardships and trials they endure and how it transforms the relationships between them. Each of our characters holds a secret which will be revealed during the course of the season, forcing them to face their scariest inner demons.

With a very cinematic language inspired by TV series and films such as Looper, 12 Monkeys or Lost, the story will stretch all the way from the northern landscapes of Israel to the dirty alleys of south Tel Aviv.

FEDERATION ENTERTAINMENT will hold world rights to the series.
