French director Jerome Salle and Federation Studios team up to lauch new production venture, Syzygy

French acclaimed director Jerome Salle has launched new production company Syzygy, in association with Federation Studios.

Jérôme Salle is known for films including Zulu starring Orlando Bloom, Largo Winch the film adaptation of hit Belgian comic book and its sequel,  Anthony Zimmer starring Sophie Marceau and Yvan Attal (adapted to The Tourist starring Johnny Depp and Angelina Jolie).

Syzygy will develop and produce premium international series and films, primarily for traditional platforms and broadcasters but also for potential theatrical release. He will work as a showrunner and director or as a producer, depending on the project.

Among Syzygy’s projects in advanced development is Okavango, a 6×1 hour series being developed for a major international broadcaster. Adapted from the bestseller of the same name by Caryl Ferey, the thriller set in the world of poaching and wildlife trafficking will be shot in English in South Africa.

Jerome Salle will soon be announcing projects for various platforms, including two 6-episode thrillers, one in French, the other in English.
