The agreement includes over 55 hours of drama and kids programming
Federation International (Monica Levy and Guillaume Pommier), the distribution arm of Federation Studios (Pascal Breton, Lionel Uzan), has just inked a major deal with Radio–Canada. The sales primarily include drama series, but also a few animation titles.
Radio-Canada has acquired Lucky Luke (8X35’, Federation Studio France and Un pour Tous Productions), an ambitious premium series that premiered on Disney+ France & EMEA on March 23, ahead of its broadcast on France Télévisions in the coming months. The Canadian public broadcaster has also purchased the international coproduction for kids The Lady Grace Mysteries (Season 1, 10 x 26 min., Cottonwood Media and Coolabi for BBC, ZDF, France Télévisions), the special drama for TF1 Mr. Hubert’s Christmas (Lapinxa Production and Quelle Aventure!), the five opus of police comedy A Case for Kin, a massive hit on France Télévisions (5 x 90 min., Mercer Production), the 8th season (currently in production) and the 6th Season (renewal) of Deadly Tropics (now 60 x 52 min., Federation Studio France), a light-crime procedural series scoring top ratings on France 2 season after season, as well as the animated series Ollie & Moon (Season 1, 52 x 13’, Cottonwood Media for Ukids, Netflix, France Télévisions).
A few months earlier, Radio-Canada had acquired from Federation International the hit series A Tale of Two Cities, a thrilling modern adaptation of Dicken’s beloved revolutionary epic novel for MGM+, BBC, Prime Video and France Télévisions (4 x 52’, Federation Stories and Federation Studio France ), the 7th season of Deadly Tropics, and seasons 1 and 2 of the K-pop series Gangnam Project (10 x 30’, Pillango / BBC).
In total, more than 55 hours of programming.
These sales build on the strong business relationship Federation International has established with Radio-Canada, and more broadly with all Canadian broadcasters. In 2025, no fewer than 27 films or series were sold to our Canadian partners, including: Seasons 1 to 5 of The Bureau (50 x 52’ – Federation & TOP the originals / Canal+), The Diploma (6 x 52’, Habanita Federation / TF1) and Mytho seasons 1 & 2 (12 x 52’, Unité de production / ARTE, Netflix), Cheyenne & Lola (Lincoln TV / OCS), as well as the documentary film Wolfman to TV5 Canada; the CW U.S series Sherlock & Daughter starring David Thewlis to Bell Media. Season 1 (renewal) and Season 4 of the animated multi-awarded series Simon Super Rabbit to Télé-Québec.
