Alessandro Usai and Federation Studios join forces to lauch NO NAME ENTERTAINMENT, a new production company based in Italy

Federation Studios, the Paris-based indie production and distribution outfit behind cult series The Bureau and Around the World in 80 days, has teamed up with prominent Italian producer Alessandro Usai to create NO NAME ENTERTAINMENT, a newly formed joint venture.

Joining from his previous company Colorado Film Production, which he led as CEO for 15 years, Alessandro Usai will lead NO NAME ENTERTAIMENT as CEO.

Alessandro Usai will be joined by his long-time collaborator Pier Paolo Luciani, formerly COO of Colorado Film and before that, Head of Local Production at Warner Bros. Italy, as COO and partner of NO NAME ENTERTAINMENT.

NO NAME ENTERTAINMENT will focus on the production of feature films for theatrical release and streaming as well as scripted TV series for traditional broadcasters and platforms. The focus will be on films and series that combine quality while reaching for a wide audience, just as in the DNA of Federation Studios’ productions and the successes that have made Alessandro Usai known in the industry (the blockbuster comedy La Peggior Settimana della Mia Vita; the Me Contro Te franchise; the theatrical saga Ten Days Without Mom; the Netflix action film My Name is Vendetta; YA film The Tearsmith; Donato Carrisi’s hit The Girl in the Fog, to name a few).

Since November 2024, Alessandro Usai has also served as President of Anica (Italy’s most important industry association in the audiovisual sector, representing film and TV producers, theatrical distributors, production service companies and streamers).

Alessandro Usai, CEO of No Name Entertainement: “After my rewarding years in the industry, I’m excited to start my own adventure together with my partner Pier Paolo and with Federation Studios. The opportunity to team up with professionals like Pascal Breton, Lionel Uzan and Marco Chimenz, whom I have admired for years, is going to be incredibly stimulating. I’m looking forward to starting our new projects and also to seizing the opportunities that such an international and diversified group of sister companies can offer to a start-up like ours”.

Marco Chimenz, Group Co-General Manager of Federation Studios: ‘’We are thrilled to be partnering with Alessandro and Pier Paolo. They are two of Italy’s most consistently successful producers, blessed with extraordinary commercial instincts and business savvy, and their new company will be an ideal complement to our ever-expanding roster of production labels’’.

NO NAME is the second outfit of Federation Studios in Italy, following Nicola and Marco de Angelis’s FABULA PICTURES (Baby, Zero, Brigands…) which joined the Federation galaxy in 2018.
