The highly anticipated documentary will have its world premiere at the 19th edition of the Zurich Film Festival that will be held from the September 28th to October 8th. The film is selected for the SOUNDS section of the festival that highlights the relationship between film and music. Musician Peter Doherty will present the film in person a perform live following the screening.
This intimate portrait of world famous English rock star was produced by Myriam Weil and by director and musician Katia deVidas. Katia, who is also Peter Doherty’s wife, filmed him over a period of 10 years. In this documentary, we experience, in the artist’s own worlds, Doherty’s emotionally charged fight to overcome the demons of addiction and to emerge from darkness back into the light.
