Federation announces new event series Rematch, 6X52’. This thrilling miniseries about chess is being filmed in Montreal and Budapest, until December 15, 2022. Quebec director & actor and Oscar-nominee Yan England (1:54, Sam, True North and The Red Band Society) is filming the series he created with André Gulluni (Sam, Rock Paper Scissors, The Sketch Artist) that’s been initiated and produced by ARTE France and French producer Bruno Nahon (Unité), with Federation Studios.
Based on a true story, Rematch takes us on a gripping journey inside the world of high-level chess competition via one of the greatest man vs. machine matches ever to be played. The event was so important, it prompted the New York Times to print: “The future of humanity is on the line.”
This miniseries boasts a prestigious international cast: Christian Cooke (The Promise, That Dirty Black Bag), Sarah Bolger (The Tudors, Counterpart), Trine Dyrholm (The Legacy, Bauhaus – A New Era), Aidan Quinn (Elementary, Legends of the Fall), Tom Austen (The Royals), Luke Pasqualino (Skins) and Orion Lee (First Cow).
Federation Studios is handling worldwide rights to the series.
