Paris, 7 December 2020

For immediate release:

Federation Entertainment (Pascal Breton and Lionel Uzan) and So Press group (Franck Annese), major players and innovators in their respective industries, join forces to announce a new partnership dedicated to the production of unique TV content based on the media publishing group’s in-depth investigative features and exclusive interviews.

As part of this agreement, Federation and So Press will co-develop and co-produce various TV drama series, documentaries and/or films both in France and internationally via Federation’s various international subsidiaries. The productions will be adaptations of stand-out articles and reports that have featured in SO PRESS group’s magazines.

Through its various titles such as Society, So Foot etc, So Press has built a solid reputation in France as a cutting-edge publisher, creating its own inimitable style for thought-provoking, and exceptionally high-quality articles that always drive to the heart of the human condition.

Federation, one of Europe’s leading powerhouse studios, with firmly established relationships with key broadcasters and streaming platforms worldwide, will apply its uniquely positioned production and financial expertise, as well as undisputed reputation in the global TV industry to drive forward these ambitious projects.

As co-producer, So Press will be closely involved in the process via its own documentary and fiction production companies (So In Love and Allso). Federation is also well-positioned to secure co-financing for select investigative articles launched by So Press.

The first project will be a riveting TV drama series about the disturbing Xavier Dupont de Ligonnès case that shocked a nation, which dominated the front pages across all media at the time, and to this day remains unresolved. In 2011, the bodies of Dupont’s wife and four children were discovered buried in their home in Nantes, whilst Dupont being the main murder suspect vanished without a trace. The French authorities launched a massive manhunt and have been searching for him ever since.

The TV adaptation will be based on a ground-breaking investigative report that was published in Society magazine in August 2020, and thanks to its exhaustive research, witness interviews and in-depth analysis, sheds new light on the case.

The series is produced by So In Love (a So Press fiction production company) and Cheyenne Federation (Julien Madon and Aimée Buidine) in which Federation is a shareholder alongside its directors.

Franck Annese, So Press said: “This partnership will make history. Our expertise consists in telling captivating stories using all forms of media: social media, podcasts, documentaries, films, series… Federation is the perfect partner to create such a collaboration in order to propel us forward, especially in the fiction arena. Both our organisations complement each other, and this agreement will allow us to create some exciting projects over the coming months and beyond.”

Lionel Uzan, Federation said: “I am delighted to announce this partnership between two organisations that bring ambitious and complementary content to the table. So Press has an outstanding reputation in the publishing world for their unparalleled quality storytelling that drives to the heart of the human experience, and this has allowed us to clearly identify potential audio-visual adaptations from the outset.”

Federation will handle worldwide sales of all productions emanating from the new partnership.
