Paris, August 30, 2023

For immediate release

In light of the rapid increase of international sales activities, Federation’s burgeoning distribution division, co-headed by Monica Levy and Guillaume Pommier is delighted to announce the appointment of three new executives.

The sales team welcomes Ilan Sarfati as International Sales Manager – Documentaries, covering all territories, who joins from premium specialist factual producer/distributor Kwanza, where he also held the position of International Sales Manager.

This newly created position comes off the back of the significant growth of Federation’s documentary catalog, thanks to Myriam Weil’s award-winning productions since she launched the doc label for Federation in 2019, as well as the flourishing activities of other in-house producers such as Isabelle Dagnac, Laetitia Recayte (Lapinxa Production), Thorunn Anspach and Olivier Brémond (Mercer Productions), Yann Arthus-Bertrand (Hope Production) – as well as high-end acquisitions from external producers such as What‘s Up Films (La Secte) and documentaries from Oscar-winning producer Frédéric Fougea with whom Federation created the joint label Boréales Federation in 2021.

Ilan Sarfati will be working with Raphaël Blin, Sales and Acquisitions Coordinator for the documentary area since his arrival at Federation in September 2021, Raphaël steps up as Junior sales executive whilst supporting Ilan’s global sales activities on all territories and continuing on his role as documentary coordinator.

The sales team will also count on Jérômine Ader de la Villardière who joins Federation as International Sales Manager – Drama and Kids for LatAm, Spain, Portugal and the Middle East. She replaces Isabella Barsumian, after five years at Federation has left to pursue a new business opportunity. Prior to joining Federation, Jérômine was Sales Manager at Superights. She brings with her a wealth of expertise in kids programming, as well as a strong track record in the territories she will be handling.

Ilan Sarfati and Jérômine Ader will report to Sarah Zarka, Head of International Sales. They will join Federation on September the 1st and will attend the Rendez-Vous d’Unifrance, held in Biarritz from the 3rd to the 7th of September.

The distribution team also welcomes newly appointed Cloé Billois as Sales Administrator. Cloé’s role focuses on overseeing the administrative management of sales and acquisitions as Federation scales up its in-house sales monitoring.

Having recently joined Federation this summer, she previously held positions as Sales Support for Newen Connect, and Sales Administrator at Mediawan Rights. Cloé Billois reports to Stanislas Frecher, SVP Business Affairs & Formats.

A year ago, Federation’s distribution division announced structural changes designed to support the rapid expansion of its catalog and business volume. This included the appointment of Guillaume Pommier as Co-Head of Distribution alongside Monica Levy as well as the promotion of Sarah Zarka, to the position of Head of international sales. Sarah Zarka’s responsibilities include but are not limited to, driving revenue growth and enhancing sales performances for both brand new and catalog programs, across all genres. A few months later, in January 2023, the integration of the catalog of Calt Distribution (a Federation subsidiary) to the Federation sales marked another substantial milestone, as Lucile Avezard, International Sales Manager joined the team.
