Adapted from Ken Follet’s bestselling novel of the same name and starring Laetitia Casta, Jackdaws takes us just before D-Day and follows a group of women from the French Resistance as they embark on a secret and dangerous mission that will change the outcome of the war.
Their goal ? To blow up the Château de Sainte Cécile, a key Nazi communications hub, housed in the underground network of this rock-face fortress. Named the Jackdaws, the multi-talented team (a break-in specialist, a sniper, a telecommunications network expert, and above all, an explosives queen) would have to dress as cleaning ladies, enter the fortress unnoticed, and, from the inside, blow up this nerve centre, rendering the Nazi command blind and deaf in the 12 hours leading up to D-Day… All while getting out alive!
The six-part event series is created and co-written by Camille Treiner and produced by Empreinte Digitale (Thomas Saignes, Raphaël Rocher) and Stephanie Germain Productions. Mona Achache-Bauer to direct the series.
