Ginger & Fed (Federation Studios) announces major sales for Santiago: The Camino Therapy, Yann Samuell’s new film, which released this week in France by Apollo Films with an ambitious rollout, under the title of Compostelle.
Unveiled at the Unifrance Rendez-Vous and then at the EFM earlier this year, the film marketed under the title Santiago: The Camino Therapy for the international market has quickly achieved international success with numerous sales worldwide:
Outsider Pictures (United States) and Screenbound (UK/Ireland) are among the international distributors that have acquired the movie.
It has also sold to Australia (Limelight), Canada (A-Z Films), Italy (Officine UBU), Germany (Plaion), Switzerland (Praesens), Poland (Rafael Films), Benelux (Case Depart), Hong Kong (Intercontinental), Taiwan (Swallow Wings), South Korea (The Coup Corp), Israel (New Cinema), and airlines (Eagle).
SANTIAGO: THE CAMINO THERAPY continues its strong commercial momentum, delivering outstanding results on its first day. Released today on 602 screens, with already 118,000 admissions in previews and over 35,000 admissions on its opening day, making it one of the widest releases for a film this year in France. This remarkable performance sets the stage for robust international sales growth.

The film stars Alexandra Lamy and newcomer Julien Le Berre, Alexandra Lamy and newcomer Julien Le Berre star in the film produced by France’s Eveya Productions and Page Films, which shot last year in France’s Auverge-Rhônes-Alpes region and in Spain’s Santiago de Compostela. It is based on Bernard Olivier’s book Walk And Forge Your Life.
Yann Samuell has directed several films, including Love Me If You Dare, War Of The Buttons and most recently 2022’s The Lulus.
Synopsis: Adam is a teenager who’s lost and heading in the wrong direction. A judge gives him a surprising choice: walk 800 kilometers on the Camino de Santiago to think about his future. He sets off with Fred, a tough but outspoken woman. Together, they go on a journey that could change their lives. She is looking to heal from her past; he, is struggling to channel his anger and feelings of abandonment. With every kilometer traveled and each encounter, amid clashes, exhaustion, and moments of peace, a bond gradually forms between the two walkers, and each discovers their unsuspected inner strength.
