A very french scam – the man who sold Paris

A dream that sounds genius. Or maybe… a scam?

Just a few blocks away from the trendy Marais district in Paris, the street
of Vertbois suddenly becomes the center of attention. Cédric Naudon,
a French multimillionaire who made his fortune in the United States,
announces he’s buying the entire street to transform it into a temple of
French luxury, art, design, and gastronomy. He finishes his press conference
to a stunned crowd of journalists, then climbs back into his Maserati and
heads to his office on Place Vendôme. His great project comes with a multimillion
euro price tag, and everybody wants a piece of the pie: bankers,
reporters, investors, local farmers, top chefs and international designers
alike.
