A powerful exploration of the subject matter central to societal debates, that of ‘end-of-life’.
This documentary is a portrait narrated in the first person of Axel Kahn, one of Europe’s greatest physicians and researchers who passed away in 2021. When he learned he was suffering from a fast-spreading and terminal cancer, he chose to share the weeks leading up to his final days with tens of thousands of people. Throughout his life, Axel Khan always talked about embracing life and death. We share his journey looking at his profession and dedication to human life, whilst following this extraordinary man’s unique existence.
His profound belief resonates strongly in this documentary: that we must come to terms with death.
